Updated on 3/6/26: Text is now single-spaced, block quotes end at the right-hand margin, and bullet lists begin at the left-hand margin, reducing the text from 44 pages to 25 pages.  I also deleted a section of this chapter that was about the resuscitation of the Swoon Theory.
